Brighton certainly has a unique character, or maybe even two: this glorious seaside destination manages to combine two very different images to produce a resort that attracts thousands of visitors year after year. On one hand Brighton has a “kiss me quick” image synonymous with so many seaside postcards that is so quintessentially British; and on the other a sophisticated image from when Brighton was so popular during the Regency period in Britain – in fact many fine examples of Regency architecture still endure in the area.
It’s no wonder that Brighton was voted in the top ten UK cities in the Observer 2000 Travel Awards – as it’s so diverse with something to cater for all tastes – whoever you are or wherever you’re from, there is something in Brighton for you.
